Ender 6 DirectDrive conversion

Hi guys,
I’m planing to upgrade my Ender 6 with a DirectDrive setup.
On the one hand I’m considering to take it easy and use the BIQU H2 V2.
On the other hand I’m tempted by a setup based on the ORBITER 2.0.

What (medium priced) hotend would you recommend in combination with the ORBITER?
What differences or advantages will I gain when going with the BIQU or ORBITER?

Thanks in advance,
Rixi

The BIQU H2 is quite cheap now, and it’s an all in one setup.
The Orbiter requires a hotend too.

Thank you for your quick reply!

I’m aware that I will need an additional hotend. That’s why I asked:

I’m already running Klipper (thanks to your guide :+1: ) and have a accelerometer on my desk (not yet installed) to activate Input Shaper.
Will I be able to run faster print speeds with the Orbiter+HotEnd configuration compared to the BIQU H2?
What other advantages will I gain when going with the BIQU or ORBITER?

Thanks!

That depends. There are multiple combos of hotends and extruders out there.
I am happy with the H2 and that’s what I would recommend. Paired with a Volcano heatblock, it’s faster than what the printer can do.
