- 3D Printer Model: Lulzbot mini 3
- Slicer: cura le
- Hardware Setup: printer directly connected to microsoft surface laptop via USB c
- Problem description:
two problems:
the extruder won’t stop extruding. if the hot end is heated, doesn’t matter what it’s doing, filament will ooze out of the nozzle (even when retracting)
the movement of the print head pauses periodically seemingly at random for ~0.5s frequency of these pauses increase when printing smooth curves
these problems combined cause ungodly amounts of zits and blobs everywhere
- What I tried:
lowering print speed
increasing print speed
lowering hotend temp
increasing retraction distance
increasing retraction minimum distance
increasing cooling
I have video evidence of it happening but I’m not sure how to post it
